Lesson 26: Within the Much More Care of God

Romans 5:8-10 – “God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by His blood, much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by His life.”

We need never wonder if God gets tired of us falling into the same temptation or sin time after time, and us coming to Him to ask forgiveness. Most certainly He wants us to grow stronger, but there are times when we might feel like we’re not having victory – and then we wonder if God still loves us.

The above verses answer this for us – God loved us so much WHILE WE HATED HIM He gave His beloved Son to die for us! If He loved us then, how much more precious are we to Him now that we are His children! He cannot love us more, but relationship makes us more precious to Him. We see this in the Bible because God called only one man in the Bible His friend – Abraham (James 2:23); and He only called one person a “man after My own heart” – David (Acts 13:22). In spite of all the sins these two men committed, God had a special place in His heart for them because they kept coming back to Him when they’d done wrong, and through confession restored their relationship with God.
