Lesson 30: Vitally United to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
The Bible says – note the word “in” in each case:
1) The believer is in God, the Father – “Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians IN God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace.” (1 Thessalonians 1:1)
2) God, the Father, is in the believer – “… one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and IN all.” (Ephesians 4:6)
3) The believer is in the Son – “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are IN Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
4) The Son is in the believer – “In that day you will know that I am IN My Father, and you IN Me, and I IN you.” (John 14:20)
5) The believer is in the Spirit – “You, however, are not in the flesh but IN the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells IN you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him.” (Romans 8:9)
6) The Spirit is in the believer – “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.” (1 Corinthians 2:12)
