Lesson 34: Possessing Every Spiritual Blessing
 
Everything we have read in this study can be summed up in this final statement – Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly places.”

As we said in the last lesson, we have been given a bank account with every spiritual blessing we will ever need our entire life – all we need to do is draw on this account. How do we draw on this account? We go to Him and ask for what we need.

But we must ask according to His will. Have you ever watched a mother with a child in a store – the child becomes focused on a piece of candy and asks for it but the mother says “No.” What the child doesn’t realize, but you have seen, is the mother has placed a bag of fruit into her shopping cart, fruit matching the flavor of the candy, and you know the fruit is better for the child than the candy. The child does not realize the mother has provided everything he needs so he keeps demanding what he wants.

In the same way God has provided all we need, we only need to trust Him to know when fruit is better for us than candy – His way is better than ours.
