GMO Volunteer Agreement
Understanding that the mission of Global Media Outreach is to reach the world for Christ, as a Ministry Correspondence Centers Volunteer with Global Media Outreach, I commit to pursue the following:
A Heart for God
· by submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in my daily life and ministry; and by attending a local church to receive insight and encouragement and to serve others.
A Heart for Growth
· by spending daily time in the Word and prayer in an ongoing relationship with Christ.
A Heart for Evangelism
· by actively participating in the opportunities God provides for evangelism in my daily life as I serve Him and by taking part in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) and making disciples.
As evidence of a heart for God and for Growth, I attest that I have not been engaged in ongoing conduct that is contrary to a Christ-centered life.
In the past 2 years, I have not...
- Used narcotics, hallucinogens, or drugs not prescribed by a physician.
- Been involved in: sexual activity outside of marriage, homosexuality, or pornography.
In the past 5 years, I have not been convicted of a crime or engaged in illegal activities.
I have never physically or sexually abused anyone.
It should be understood that Global Media Outreach stands in the mainstream of evangelical Christianity and accepts those large areas of doctrinal teaching on which historically there has been general agreement among all Evangelical Christians. It is the desire of Global Media Outreach to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible. It should be understood that there are no additional requirements to eternal salvation other than placing ones faith in Jesus Christ alone and His finished work on the cross as their Savior. Any contrary interpretation shall become an issue that hinders the ministry or conflicts with our Statement of Faith and will disqualify a person from fulfilling their role as an Online Missionary.
Additionally, I acknowledge that my relationship to Global Media Outreach for Ministry Response Centers related work is that of
- an uncompensated volunteer and
- not that of an employee, agent, or an independent contractor.
- I will use my best efforts to fulfill my responsibilities in support of Global Media Outreach’s philosophy, methodology and theology, which has as its goal reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- I understand that my activities will be overseen by a Global Media Outreach staff member. For quality control purposes, qualified GMO team members will review Online Missionary responses on an ongoing basis and provide guidance and assistance as needed. 5) I will fully participate in initial and ongoing training as required by GMO.
- My signature on this page evidences my voluntary commitment to the objectives of Global Media Outreach and in no way represents a contractual arrangement of any kind between Global Media Outreach and myself.
Global Media Outreach grants permission to copy for personal and ministry uses, provided this credit line is included and content remains unchanged.
