Lesson 21: Build Yourself Up in the Faith
Jude 17-25 (ESV) - www.bible.com/bible/59/jud.1

God’s Words:
But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ leading to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

My words:
Holy Father, to You be glory, majesty, strength and rule – now and forever!

What Your apostles said would happen is happening today, Lord – people are self-absorbed, making their own religions … and churches are splitting – because Your Holy Spirit is not within them. Thank You for letting us know these things would take place so we can be vigilant, not lose heart, and watch for Your coming.

Build up my faith, Lord, as I talk with You. I want to be more and more open to real life – Your love and mercy. Enable me to be gentle with hesitant people, to go after those who are going the wrong way, and to be tender with sinners but not soft on sin. Give me Your eyes, Your ears, Your heart of love … and keep me on my feet, Father, making the most of every opportunity, until the day you call me Home!
