Day 26: Shepherds tell
everyone what they have seen
Read Luke 2:15-21
Luke 2:17 - And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told
them concerning this child.
When the shepherds had seen Jesus, just as the angel had told them, they went
into town to tell everyone what the angel had said to them and how they had
found everything just as they had been told.
Please remember, the shepherds were not socially welcome people. Others usually
avoided being near them. So why would God announce His great message of the
promised Messiah, who had now come, through such people? He told them and sent
them to the manger to see Jesus because they were available and willing to go.
Do you ever feel you are not good enough, cannot speak well enough, cannot
dress like others, or maybe you have some kind of physical limitation like
scars or illness or are unable to walk, so you think that others will not
listen to you? Do not let these things keep you from telling others about
Jesus. You do not even need a seminary degree or great knowledge or be an
eloquent speaker. All Jesus asks you to tell are the things you have seen and
heard and experienced from Him. Has He given you hope when you were in despair?
Has He given you wisdom when you were desperate on an exam? Has He given you
love for someone you know you could never have loved by yourself?
*Tell someone today what Jesus has done for you.
